🏭 Building Industrial Bridges Between Europe and Israel

NitroFix participated in an exclusive Energy  delegation spanning Bavaria and Israel, focused on accelerating collaboration between climate innovation and heavy industry. Alongside a select group of Israeli climate tech companies, we met with officials from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs in Munich and senior representatives from some of Europe’s largest industrial and energy players.

Discussions centered on low‑carbon energy systems, hydrogen-based solutions, and ammonia’s emerging role as a cost‑effective energy carrier, particularly for storage and transport. Meetings included executives from Siemens Energy, BASF, Deutsche Bahn Energie, EnBW, LEA Hessen, and leading renewable developers such as ABO Energy and Entega.

A recurring theme quickly emerged: while renewable generation is scaling, energy storage and transport remain binding constraints. Ammonia is increasingly viewed as one of the most practical answers to bridge this gap. These conversations reinforced NitroFix’s relevance as a modular, localized solution for industrial customers navigating both decarbonization and operational resilience.

Meetings continued in Israel, with follow‑up events hosted by the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC).

‍

đŸ€ CXO-Level Dialogue at Clean Energy Ventures

NitroFix was invited to participate in Clean Energy Ventures’ intimate CXO Summit in Boston. The closed‑door event brought together 28 senior executives from 20 climate startups across the CEV portfolio.

The summit provided a rare opportunity to exchange candid perspectives on scaling, technology readiness, and go-to-market timing while also opening the door to new collaborations with novel electrolyzer developers and others.

đŸ‘©â€đŸ”Ź Promoting Female Leadership in Climate and STEM

NitroFix continued to support and elevate women’s leadership in science, technology, and climate entrepreneurship.

Ophira was invited by She.E.O – Israel’s Female Executives Forum to share her journey from doctoral chemist, through global R&D roles, to CEO of NitroFix. Speaking at Reichman University’s Entrepreneurship Club, she emphasized resilience, curiosity, and reframing obstacles as learning opportunities rather than endpoints.

Earlier in the quarter, Ophira also participated in the Women in Tech Israel event in Jerusalem, hosted in collaboration with ASPER‑HUJI Innovate, Yissum, and Tech It Forward. Reflecting on the experience, she noted that empowering women in STEM is not only a social imperative, but a critical driver of innovation and long‑term sustainability.

📈 Ammonia Market Volatility Highlights the Value of Local Supply

Recent market dynamics in Europe underscore the strategic importance of localized ammonia production. S&P Global reported Northwest European ammonia prices reaching a 2025 high amid supply disruptions and tight spot cargo availability.

This combination of volatility and logistical dependence exposes the fragility of centralized, import‑heavy supply chains. It is precisely in these conditions that on‑site and near‑site modular production, like NitroFix,  becomes a resilience strategy.

🚱 Shipping Demand Accelerates, Supply Remains Centralized

Demand for green ammonia in shipping continues to build, but supply models remain heavily centralized and globally exposed. In Q4, CMB.Tech signed an offtake agreement for renewable ammonia produced in China by CEEC, intended to fuel its fleet of 11 ammonia‑powered vessels.

While this signals strong momentum, it also highlights a structural gap: long‑distance shipping of energy carriers, reliance on mega‑scale facilities, and exposure to geopolitical risk. Distributed production models can help close this gap by bringing supply closer to demand and stabilizing costs as green ammonia adoption accelerates.

⚡ Ammonia as an Energy Carrier Gains Policy Backing

Japan is reinforcing ammonia’s role as a long‑duration energy carrier through direct demand‑side support. In Q4, JERA secured a 15‑year government subsidy designed to bridge the price gap between green ammonia and coal, linked to future imports from their planned $4 billion low‑carbon ammonia facility in the United States, expected to come online later this decade.

Such mechanisms reflect growing recognition that global supply chains may lag demand growth. In these transition periods, localized and distributed production can serve as a critical bridge; ensuring availability while infrastructure and international trade catch up.
