On the Road to Commercialization

πŸ«±πŸ½β€πŸ«²πŸ½ NitroFix secured two new LOIs for the offtake of our low-energy green ammonia, partnering with a cracking technology developer to produce hydrogen fuel and an ammonia generator distributor in Southeast Asia to expand into the fertilizer market.

🚒 Our team showcased NitroFix at influential events, including Climate Week New York and GreenTech IL. Private conversations with top executives revealed that the energy and shipping industries are enthusiastic about green ammonia's versatility, both as a potent maritime fuel and as an energy carrier for hydrogen.

‍

✨ NitroFix was chosen as one of 5 cutting-edge companies to join the exclusive H2UB Europe Accelerator in Essen, Germany. The 10 week program kicked off in September and will culminate at the Hydrogen Technology Expo (23-24 October in Hamburg, Germany - Register Here). With access to some of the most senior hydrogen decision makers in Europe, we are unlocking new pilot projects and partnerships.

‍

πŸš€ Texas Innovates selected NitroFix as one of 10 companies for its CHILI program. CHILI, short for Climate & Hydrogen Innovation and Learning Incubator, is supported by the DOE and aims to enable a low-carbon future through groundbreaking innovations in hydrogen and CCUS. The program will provide NitroFix with access to advanced facilities and collaborations with leading energy corporations in the United States.πŸ‘‰πŸ½Learn more here.

πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ”¬ Our expert team continues to expand. Joining the ranks are a PhD in Chemistry and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, both widely recognized leaders in their fields who together bring over 60 years of experience to the lab.

🌾 The Opportunity - Southeast Asia Fertilizer

We spoke with Ronald Fesalbon, CEO of the Philippines-based NovoEnergy, Inc., to gain insights into the ammonia and fertilizer opportunity in Southeast Asia. Ronald highlighted the region's reliance on rice as a staple food for over 700 million people and the growing demand for affordable, locally produced fertilizer.

β€œNot many people realize that the Philippines imports much of its rice from Thailand and Vietnam and most of the fertilizer from Russia,” says Ronald. β€œThis LOI with NitroFix will open the door for low-energy, decentralized ammonia in the region. With it, I believe we can boost the local economy and bring stability and diversification to global food production."

Preparing for Liftoff

βœ… Another major milestone‍

The world’s first ship-to-ship (STS) transfer of ammonia between vessels on anchor in a working port was conducted in Western Australia under the stewardship of Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonization (GCMD). This achievement demonstrated that ammonia can be safely transferred in a busy port environment, and follows the successful STS in international waters performed in July near Spain, and the first bunkering and powering demonstration in Singapore mid-March.

πŸ“ˆ Clean ammonia supply to jump by X30 by 2030

According to research by BloombergNEF, Clean ammonia supply could increase by up to 30 times this decade, accounting for ~13% of global supply by 2030. By then, 92% of all new supply added will be clean, and green ammonia will likely overtake blue ammonia (from natural gas) starting 2030. Currently, North America, China and the Middle East are poised to be the leading clean ammonia suppliers.

‍

πŸ’° Europe to drive 10 Mtpa of demand

RMI forecasts that by 2030 ammonia production in the United States will increase by 113%, and that the EU will drive 10 million tons per annum of US ammonia demand as it becomes the largest global importer of hydrogen.

‍

NitroFix is positioned to take advantage of this trend. Our decentralized solution will revolutionize distribution, shorten supply chains, and drastically cut both Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
